Operator and service scope

MyDocPhoto is an independent project operated by its owner as an individual. PhotoCheck is its tool for checking file specifications, reading metadata indicators and assisting manual review and cropping. It is not a government agency or a U.S. Diversity Visa application service and does not submit applications or contact authorities on your behalf.

These terms explain the website’s usage rules. Using the tool means following these rules; it is not consent to personalized advertising or a waiver of rights that cannot legally be waived.

Limits of checks and guidance

Format, dimension and size checks differ from official acceptance of a photo. Photoshop or another software name in metadata indicates saving or processing, not the type of edit. Its absence does not prove authenticity. Metadata and dates may be missing, inaccurate or changed.

Background review is manual. The difference-enhancement preview is a visual aid, not forensic detection or proof of background replacement. Results depend on the file, browser and settings. Measurements depend on the landmarks you select and confirm.

We do not guarantee photo or application acceptance, entry into the draw, selection or a visa. Preparing a photo does not itself increase random-selection odds, and the photo is not the only eligibility requirement. Official authorities and their published requirements control.

Your responsibilities

Check the latest requirements for the intended programme or document and your photo’s actual age and suitability. Position the top-of-hair, chin and eye landmarks accurately and review the output before submitting it. Cropping and resizing cannot repair unsuitable lighting, backgrounds or altered appearance.

Keep your original. Cropping creates a re-encoded file without copying original camera metadata; compression may affect quality. Do not present the output as an original camera file or the report as an official certificate.

Photo rights and permitted use

Use photos you own or have permission to process. For a child’s photo, you must be a parent, guardian or otherwise authorized person. Selecting a photo does not transfer ownership to us or grant a license to publish it or use it in advertising.

Do not use the website to create misleading evidence, infringe others’ rights, submit unlawful content, disrupt the service or attempt unauthorized access. You are responsible for your use of downloaded files and reports.

Privacy, external services and advertisements

Read our privacy policy for local processing and hosting details. Reports may contain personal information; review them before sharing. Official links and examples are explanatory and do not imply endorsement of MyDocPhoto.

External services have their own terms. If ads are added, they must be distinguishable from website tools. An advertisement is not our recommendation or guarantee of its advertiser. The tool does not require an ad click to obtain a result or download.

Free service and any future payments

The current tool is free: there are no purchases, subscriptions or charges for checking or downloading and no card information is collected within the website. There are therefore no paid orders or payments requiring refunds in the current version.

We will not charge before publishing a description of the paid service, price, currency, delivery method and timing, operator and contact details, cancellation and refund terms, any renewal terms and the payment provider. Commercial terms will be shown before payment and will not apply retrospectively to free use.

Content rights and sources

Texts, design and assets are subject to applicable rights. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and licenses. Links and credits identify sources of published examples; displaying Department of State examples does not imply government affiliation or endorsement.

Official requirements may change. Where website guidance conflicts with an official source, follow that source and check the instructions for your specific application cycle.

Availability, liability and changes

We aim to keep information accurate and tools working, but errors, interruptions and browser differences can occur. The service is provided within its stated limits; we do not guarantee official outcomes or external services. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Tools and terms may change with an updated review date. Material changes to data collection or charges will be explained before they apply. This page does not assign an assumed country’s law or court; applicable mandatory rules remain in force.

Contacting the operator

No public support channel is currently published on the website. Appropriate operator and contact details must be published before advertising or sales are launched so that questions, complaints and privacy requests can be received. There is no paid support service or stated response-time agreement in the current version.
